A Full Calendar of Fun at LaMonte/LaMonte Annex

Bound Brook School District’s youngest scholars spent the last few months learning about kindness, friendship, and trustworthiness – all while having fun.

The year 2021 ended on a high note at LaMonte Annex as kindergarteners welcomed their family and friends to enjoy a winter concert performance and preschoolers got into the holiday spirit with a pajama party and a full day dedicated to The Polar Express. Guidance Counselor Nicholas Moran also held an end-of-the-year assembly about trustworthiness where students learned how to be good friends.

The new year kicked off with curriculum ranging from roads and traffic patterns to animals and the importance of courage. January also served as a re-start for students as they continued working hard to develop gross motor skills during gym and recess.

In February, students and staff celebrated Kindness Month with a 28-day challenge, cultivating a daily habit for students to spread kindness among their families, friends, and communities. National School Counseling Week was also celebrated from Feb. 7-11, and students made thank you cards to show their appreciation for Nicholas Moran.

Our students closed out the month with a school spirit Twosday on 2-22-22, enjoying the day’s activities while wearing ties, tie-dye, and tucked in shirts.

Spring has finally sprung! As the days bring us more sunlight, we look forward to more fun and learning at LaMonte Annex.
